My greatest
wish, has always been to have a dog.
I had to wait until I was 31 years old, until this wish came true.
Now I had to deside, what breed should it be?.
My first
choice was the Black Giant Schnauzer
Off to the
library.
There was only one book in danish,
"Bogen om Schnauzere" from Susanne Jørgensen - Dorrit Neertoft - Peter
Petersen.
I
contacted the Danish Kennel Club in order to get a puppy.
Kennel
Skovmosegaard had a litter of black Riesen.
So off I went.
Skovmosegaard
Ajka was her
name.
My first dog.
She was everything, I could wish for.
I called her Shiva.
I trained
her at a local dog training facility.
We did not have a car, so she had to learn to go by bus and run next to me
on my bicycle.
In the
beginning, I just wanted a family dog, but the breeder asked me, if I would
like to show her. Well that would be interesting so I started to learn how
to groom her. On
her first show she won 1.junior og JKK 1. So I decided to keep on
showing her.
But destiny
caught up with us.
When Shiva
was only 1½ years old, she got very ill. She was admitted to the
veterinary hospital, sadly she was not getting better so she came home to
be with us during her last days.
Shiva died 22. march 1990. In honour of
this wonderfull dog, I chose to name my kennel after her.
...........then
something happend!
